American Leather Comfort Sleepers
In the videos below you'll see the six different sizes of Comfort Sleepers available. These videos were done in our showroom here at LifeStyles Furniture and are provided here as an opportunity to see these sleepers in action. Smooth operating mechanisms with simple and easy cushion systems makes these very user friendly and a welcome addition to any home.
Cot Size Sleeper
Sleep Surface: 30" x 80"
One of the smallest bed sizes available. The cot sleeper offers individual sleeping for guests or for everyday use. Designed as a chair the cot sleeper is easy to pull out and takes up very little space making it the perfect addition to any room. (Cot Video - Open/Close)
Twin Size Sleeper
Sleep Surface: 39" x 80"
American Leather twin sleepers offer a traditional twin size but with a twist. These are made with an 80" long sleeping surface making them an extra long bed. Perfect for sleeping tall adults whether it's as a guest or as an everyday bed. (Twin Video - Open/Close)
Full Size Sleeper
Sleep Surface 54" x 80"
A great alternative to queen and king sleepers if you just don't have enough space. This full size sleeper from American Leather offers a standard full size but with an extra long feature allowing it to sleep two adults comfortably. (Full Video - Open/Close)
Queen Size Sleeper
Sleep Surface 60" x 80"
The most popular size of sofa sleeper. The queen sleeper measures a true 80" long sleep surface compared to competitors sleepers which are often only 73 or 75 inches long. Thanks to the Tiffany 24/7 mechanism this sleeper is just like having a true standard queen size bed in another room. Perfect for any guest or everyday use. (Queen Video - Open/Close)
Queen Plus Sleeper
Sleep Surface 66" x 80"
When a queen size just isn't enough, make it a queen plus sleeper. The queen plus shares the same length as a standard queen but is wider providing more sleep space for users. It's the perfect size for a room that can't quite fit a king size but needs something a bit more than a queen. Use it everyday as both a sofa and as a bed. (Queen Plus Video - Open/Close)
Sleep Surface 76" x 80"
The king sleeper is considered the largest among sleeper sofas and provides the most sleeping surface for guests or family. Available in a stand alone sofa or in a sectional configuration. Owning a king sleeper gives you the freedom and flexibility to sleep almost any guest or family anytime. (King Video - Open/Close)
About Comfort Sleepers
The Comfort Sleeper was designed by the American husband and wife team of Barbara & Robert Tiffany. They wanted to create a design that did away with sagging springs and the bar in your back and instead introduce a comfortable sleeper using modern technology. What they created was a solid platform surface with no bars and instead of old uncomfortable springs they introduced foam, gel and even Tempur-Pedic sleeper mattress options. In addition they made each sleeper surface 8" longer than competitors getting the surface to the real 80" length of actual bed dimensions. Their goal was to re-design the sleeper to be a comfortable option for everyday seating and sleeping. They succeeded and it's simply called the Comfort Sleeper.
Awards & Recognition
American Leather Comfort Sleepers have attracted attention from both consumers and due to their unique features and mechanism. Consumers Digest which is an independant consumer review and rating guide for products awarded Comfort Sleepers as a best value. Apartment Therapy awarded the Comfort Sleeper as a top pick by its editors.
The Comfort Sleeper Difference.
The patented Tiffany 24/7 mechanism is unlike any other being used in sleepers today. It's a compact mechanism that leaves little space between the sleeper mechanism and the arms and backrest of the sofa. In addition it takes up less space when being pulled out into the room compared to other brands making it fit more easily into tight spaces. Available in cot, twein, full, queen, queen plus and king sizes. Combine that with the elimination of springs and bars and replacing those things with a solid foundation with no bars and your choice of foam, gel or Tempur-Pedic sleeper mattress it's easy to see why Comfort Sleepers are the first best choice in a sleeper.
American Leather and the Environment
American Leather is a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, a non-profit organization created to promote sustainable practices in the furniture industry. Here are other key ways in which they work everyday to make their products and their factory more environmentally friendly.
Frames - All wood used in their furniture is harvested from sustainable forests. They recycle over two million pounds of leftover wood. American Leather also use recycled and scrap hardwood using an innovative technology to repurpose the wood. They recycle their wood, but not use recycled wood for frames Glues are chemical-free, water-based binders. They use water-based glue that doesn't contain or release volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Leather - All leather is dyed using water-based solvents and pigments. American Leather offers 35 environmentally friendly, biogradeable leathers made through natural, chrome free, chemical free processes. Cushions - Their cushioning includes soy-based foam cushioning, which is fully recyclable and available in a wide assortment of firmness and densities. To help prevent ozone layer damage, they use high- density and high-resiliency foam that's free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Factory - Their factory conserves energy with automatic light shut-offs and they encourage employees to recycle and to use non-disposable water cups and coffee cups instead of Styrofoam or paper products. Their furniture is manufactured in Dallas, Texas. Since none of their products travel across an ocean, they can arrive faster and with a smaller carbon footprint than imported goods.
Important Delivery Information:
If your Comfort Sleeper furniture is being shipped with our White Glove Carrier service here are some important things to keep in mind. Be sure to know the width and height of your doorways before ordering. Many sizes of sleeper from cot, twin and full should fit through fully assembled by simply angling and turning them upright through the doorway by pivoting the backrest through. Other sizes such as queen, queen plus and king however will need to be turned sideways onto their back facing down through the doorway which will require extra steps.
