FIFTH AVENUE (American Leather)
The softest and most supple of our leathers, these uncorrected full aniline, natural European hides often have “character marks” on the surface including scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and subtle shading variations. Like many of the finer things in life, these unprotected leathers require moderate attention to maintain their beauty over time. This leather ages beautifully and develops a soft patina over time.

Grain: Full Top Grain
Finish: Natural

Processing: Uncorrected natural European cow hides. Cut thick to produce a shrunken effect giving the leather a rich pebbly grain. Oils are added to create a subtle sheen. Hides are 100% aniline through dyed and do not have a colored finish coat.

Characteristics: A full top grain, full-aniline leather tanned from the finest cowhides available worldwide. This plump, thick leather has added oils to provide an incredibly rich, soft hand and subtle sheen. Color shading may vary within the hides and from hide to hide, adding to the natural beauty of the leather.

Serviceability: Moderate - Since there is not a colored finish coat to serve as a protective barrier, spills should be wiped up immediately. As a natural leather, Fifth Avenue hides will accept body oils and liquids and will develop a patina unique to the lifestyles and habits of its user. Fifth Avenue is more suceptible to fading if exposed to the sun or direct light.

Cleaning: Normal Care. Under normal usage conditions regular dusting and vacuum cleaning in crevices or bottoms is all that is necessary to clean your furniture. The use of a good leather conditioner is recommended every 6-12 months.
