About OMNIA Furniture Growing up in Italy, Salvatore Zolferino and Emilio Nastri never envisioned that the two would one day become business partners in America, using their upholstery skills to build a successful manufacturing company in Chino, CA that would one day pass to their children. When Sal and Emilio came to America in 1954 they wanted to develop skills that would not only support their families, but also bring something from Italy that they knew would help them achieve the American Dream. They learned all they could about upholstering furniture but knew that if they wanted to live their dreams they would have to bring something else to the table. They recognized that American’s loved Italian / European styling so they collaborated with an Italian Tannery and developed a motto of "The best of Both World’s". This motto would serve as the foundation of Omnia Italian Designs, Inc. In 1989 the two Italian artisans began a partnership that imported fine Italian leather hides cut to their specifications. They would design and build frames, upholster them with the cut and sewn hides, and ship the finished product to the western United States. As sales increased so did their customer base which would eventually include the entire US as well as international markets. 1993 brought one of the first of major changes to the structure of their growing and now very successful business. Because their products were being so well received, both partners decided that they were going to have to speed up the production process so they began to import full hides from Italy and added a cutting and sewing department to their production facilities. During this time, Sal’s son Peter and Emilio’s son Louie began showing interest in helping build on the vision that their fathers had started, they also knew and worked hand in hand with all of the company employees. Both men, growing up like many children in family businesses, saw a great future leading this very successful and lucrative company. Hardwood Construction: Comfort starts with a more comfortable frame. Experts know there's a lot more to making comfortable furniture than just using thick cushions and lots of padding. That's why each Omnia design starts with an ergonomically correct frame made from the finest kiln-dried hardwood. Incidentally, "ergonomically correct" means that every dimension and every angle of the frame is carefully engineered to provide every part of the human body with the optimum degree of natural support. The result is a level of comfort which will underscore the right choice of Omnia upholstery for your designing project. Fine Upholstery Furniture: Omnia wants you to be aware of several important aspects of craftsmanship and construction. These are the same features that experts look for in quality leather furniture. Keeping this information in mind as you make your project decision can pay big dividends in selecting furniture that retains its appearance, comfort and value in the years ahead. Omnia's quality specifications are at the top of the leather upholstery spectrum. Omnia utilizes special high quality imported dacron fiber or high resilient foam for all back pillows and seat cushions. The entire frame is covered in 3/4" foam so leather never touches the bare wood frame. Finally, virtually all seat cushions are removable and all back pillows are zippered for easy maintenance and repair. Quality, comfort and durability in the years ahead are a priority for all Omnia leather products.

Cushions and Pillows Seat Cushions: Our seat cushions are designed for superior comfort and support. Omnia Furniture uses high-density polyurethane seat cores. A high-resiliency foam layer is laminated on top of the seat core, for exceptional comfort and a “crowning” effect. A wrap of hypo-allergic, mildew-resistant Dacron adds the finishing touch. Seat Cushion Care: Important: To ensure even wear, maximum comfort and cushion life, rotate the seat cushion once a week for the first month, then rotate as needed. Rotating is especially important if you frequently sit in the same spot. Seat cushions on most of our stationary sofas can be rotated. Leather Care: To preserve the luxurious appearance of your new leather furniture please note these general tips. (1) Take care not to mar the leather with sharp objects, including jewelry. (2) Avoid long periods of exposure to sunlight or direct heat (including radiators, vents, windows or skylights.) (3) Do not sit on the back or arms of your furniture. This can cause unwanted wear. (4) Do not use Armor All, saddle soaps, amonia based solutions, windex, ect. Different types of stains require different cleaning techniques. Butter, oil and grease: Blot off any standing liquid, as you would on a silk blouse. Don’t scrub or try to clean! The oils will be absorbed into the hide over time. Allow to air-dry naturally. Water-Based liquids: Blot off any standing liquid and allow to air-dry naturally. Wax and gum: We recommend professional leather cleaning. Do not try to remove wax or gum with a sharp object because you may damage the leather surface. Ink: We recommend a professional leather cleaning company for all instances of ink pen or crayon removal. (Caution: After Market products can void your warranty:) Before using, test for colorfastness. Apply a small amount to a hidden area of your furniture. Allow to dry and inspect for any color change. Leather will be darker after application of cleaner but should return to original color when dry. A small amount of color transfer is normal.

We stand behind our product by including the following terms and conditions of Omnia's various warranties: LIFETIME WARRANTY Our frames are constructed of selected kiln-dried hardwoods which are carefully assembled and reinforced with corner blocking to ensure a strong, durable seating unit. Omnia offers a lifetime warranty to the original buyer against defects in material and workmanship for the life of the frame. 5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY The leather will not become hard There will be no transfer of color The leather will not tear under normal use The finish will not peel from the leather The finish will not show excessive cracks other than normal wrinkles from stretching. Cushion Construction Warranty Omnia foam cushions are constructed of polyurethane foam center core with a wrap of polyester fiber. The loss of resilience should not be confused with softening and flattening of polyester fiber and foam that will occur as: a result of normal use and aging. All foam will soften and will not be considered a defect. Omnia warrants against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three years from the original retail purchase. Mattress Mechanisms Warranty Omnia uses inner spring sleeper mattresses and top quality mechanisms to provide the most comfort available in upholstered furniture. Omnia warrants against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the original retail purchase date. This also applies on our electric motor and it's parts. Feather and Down Warranty Omnia uses a high density polyurethane foam core inserted in an envelope filled with down and feathers. Omnia Furniture warranties the down and feathers against leakage for the life of the product under normal use.
