Bamboo is one of the earth's fastest growing plants which is actually considered a grass that grows to maturity in 5 years or less. Bamboo is the product derived from the forests of this fully sustainable, environmentally friendly and rapidly growing renewable resource.

There are more than 1200 bamboo species all over the world. Greenington only uses Moso (Phyllostancys pubescens) for their products. It is considered among the best specie for bamboo products due to its hardness, durability and stability. The bamboo material has been treated and kiln dried to a specific moisture content. Through this special manufacturing process the bamboo material is manufactured together to create bamboo boards. The gas emitted during the adhesive process in manufacturing these products is well below the United States acceptable levels.
